IRISH TRADITIONAL FIELD
ARCHERY SOCIETY

"You're just adults playing bows and arrows" Pip Bickerstaffe.                                                                        ITFAS is a merry band of archers and archery clubs spread throughout the island of Ireland. We specialise in traditional , instinctive shooting using wooden bows and wooden arrows in a relaxed and non competitive atmosphere. Experienced archers from other societies are welcome to come and play with us so long as they shoot traditional. Check the calendar and we'll have the kettle on.

Words of wisdom from our members and guests over the years:

The sign of a good archer is when you can hit nothing but are having a wonderful day out - Hilary Conroy

I took up archery for the debauchery - John Carrigy

I have friends and relations but on Sunday I go to archery to see the family - John Bohannon

Pull those while you're down there - Sean Mulroy to Trish Carrigy. The rest is unprintable.

We should be called The Invalid Traditional Field Archery Society - Harry Hoellrigl remarking on the number of non archery related injuries on the field at the 2009 Champs

Now we should be called The Invalid Traditional Field Alcoholic Society - Harry after the ITFAS tenth birthday shoot.

Alan????? Al? Al! Alannnnnnnnn?............. Steve? - Adrienne Freeman
